Corporate Responsibility

A Purpose-Driven Business

We live our purpose of Improving Lives for Generations through these three main pillars:

Our three pillars of purpose

We support healthy living by using our ingredients and expertise to help people make healthier and tastier choices when they eat and drink and to lead a more balanced lifestyle. Millions of people facing obesity and diabetes can benefit from our ingredients that enable products to be lower in sugar, calories and fat, and higher in fibre - as can the many people who simply want to live a healthier lifestyle.

These are our commitments - and our ambition is to not only meet these targets, but to exceed them:

 • By 2025, we will have helped improve the lives of over 250,000 people by supporting programmes that promote healthier lifestyles and activities.

 • By 2025, through our no/low calorie sweeteners and fibres, we will have helped remove 9 million tonnes of sugar from people’s diets, equivalent to 36 trillion calories.

 • By 2025, we will have helped our colleagues improve how they look after their physical and mental wellbeing so they can be their best at work and in their daily lives.

We build thriving communities where we operate and support people to achieve their potential. Many people today still struggle to put food on the table, which is why reducing hunger is one of the areas we’re committed to as part of our building thriving communities pillar. These are our commitments:

 • By 2025, we’ll have supported the education of over 100,000 children and students through learning programmes and grants, helping them attain skills for life.

 • By 2025, we’ll have provided over 3 million nutritious meals for people in need.

 • By 2025, we’ll achieve gender parity in leadership roles.

We care for the planet we live on and help protect its natural resources for the benefit of future generations. While we have a strong focus on today’s dietary and health challenges, we are not losing sight of another major global challenge: climate change. We are committed to playing our part in tackling this critical issue. That's why we have a series of ambitious environmental targets for 2030.

We’re committed to playing our full part in caring for the planet
